Another military watch from Micromilspec. I love the fact they design and manufacturer bespoke military watch faces. The name “Micromilspec” kind of hints at what they do.
This one was done for he 2nd battalion which are the traditional bearer of several subdivisions (especially IR15 and IR16), which were actively involved in the Narvik Front and the battles in the recapture of Narvik in 1940. Hence the name “NARVIK”.
The dial is decorated with the Griffin, the infantry badge and ski tracks which symbolize the battalion’s belonging and historical heritage in the north. Luminous hands inspired by the bayonet of an AG-3. The bayonet design shows the infantry battalion’s ability and willingness to meet the enemy at close range.
Not drawn entirely from scratch in GIMP and assembled and coded in WatchMaker.
