Bremont x Jaguar: A tribute to the E-Type
Bremont has named its chronograph “Jaguar E-Type 60th”. It comes in British racing green (how could it be otherwise?) And cool gray, which also reflects the exact paintwork of six pairs of cars that Jaguar itself produced to celebrate the anniversary. With a diameter of 43 mm in a stainless steel case, the piece offers a number of other E-Type allusions. The black dial is based on the design of the instruments in the dashboard of the original vehicle – with beveled hour and minute hands reminiscent of the speedometer needle. The crown is provided with the tire profiles of the Dunlop racing tires, which were mounted on the original wheels of the E-Type. As a final allusion, the watch’s rotor (which winds a chronometer movement with a 38-hour power reserve) is designed as a miniature E-type steering wheel with aluminum spokes.
