Another pilot watch from Micromilspec. I love the fact they design and manufacturer bespoke military watch faces. The name kind of hints at what they do.
This one was done for the pilots of Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, trading as Norwegian, they are a Norwegian low-cost airline and Norway’s largest airline. It is the fourth largest low-cost carrier in Europe behind Wizz Air, easyJet and Ryanair, the second-largest airline in Scandinavia, and the ninth-largest airline in Europe in terms of passenger numbers.
Debossed turbine pattern and chrome plane emblem. Classic pilot’s watch triangle at 12 o’clock, and hour markers at 3 and 9 o’clock resembling attitude indicator. Hour and minute hands inspired by an altimeter. Seconds hand in red, white and blue. Custom bezel with 12-hour scale and top/bottom divider. Engraved with selected flight destinations.
Not drawn entirely from scratch in GIMP and assembled and coded in WatchMaker.

When a watch has a 12 hour bezel, there is little point in having the 12 o’clock marker rotate to the current position of the minute hand. That makes sense for a minute bezel, for use as a timer. But the point of a 12 hour bezel is to be able to set the time in a different time zone. It would be better to be able to rotate the bezel forwards or backwards in 1 hour increments.
Thanks.
